Default tranny problem

I have a 93 dak 5.2 4x4 with an auto tranny. the tranny is broke....no surprise...lol, I also have a 94 ram 1500 5.2 2wd tranny. if I swap the od unit and tcase over will it work in my truck?i want to convert the 2wd tranny to a 4x4 one. I found a link that showed how to do a 42rh...would the 46rh be the same? both of my trannys are 46rh's.

According to what others said yes just swapping out the OD units will work to convert it.

I lost reverse first then all forward started slipping then it was not shifting past second and sometimes not coming out of second at all.

problems aren't in the OD; probably the front clutch pack in the main tranny... not sayin the OD doesnt have "any" wear but the front clutch pack is "high (3rd gear/direct drive) /reverse" and those are the 2 gears you are lacking
