Default 93 dakota wont start

My fuel pump will not turn on, i replaced it, and it still will not work. I hooked up the old fuel pump directly to the battery and it works. the Wire connector to the pump gets power. I switched the relays, i cannot figure out the problem, please advise me

Welcome to DF

You may need to do a load test on the wires going to the fuel pump. You can still have power with a test light, but once you run power thru the wire you could loose some voltage. Which means you may have breakage in the wire. I will move you post to the 1st Gen Dakota section.

it could also be just a ground problem at the fuel pump.

Check all the grounds.....that is more than likely your problem.
