Default Trying to replace fuel pressure regulator on 92 5.2L Rail

Hi there,

I'm currently doing an engine swap with a 95 5.2L w/ a 92 5.2L rail which has the fuel pressure regulator on the rail. My dilemma is that I am having trouble getting the new fuel pressure regulator to fit. The O-rings almost seem too big and I can't get it to go flush, otherwise the rail leaks out behind the FPR. Are there any tricks into getting the darn thing to go flush without smacking the thing with a darn hammer?

I took both of the o-rings off, and the FPR sits flush on it's own, so I know it fits, just the o-rings are making it hard to spin it in. Any advice would be appreciated... Thanks!

Ryan

Oh jeez...I remember doing this on my 93...its a pain I can tell you that...Got it in by positioning channel-locks over it and used the rail itself as the fulcrum point. Just try to fenagle it over and get into a spot where you can just clamp down on it. That was the easiest way for me.
