Default 93 3.9 sport key tumbler/module

so i get in my truck to leave and turn the key and feels like nothings there. Dash lights come on. Fan works. Just not the area that you turn it to start the motor. Took apart the column to find its all electronic, none other that old rods and what not.

Couple questions. I could careless about my poor truck cause she's over 200 thousand miles but any ways. Is it easyer to just hot wire the starter or spend the money to replace it. If hot wiring it is the best option. I just need to know what of the like 6 wires i need to mess with.

Thanks

It is better to replace the ignition switch.

may not be the key part but the electric part behind it in the column,
when that happened to me it was a broken tab... no DO NOT hot wire it, easy repair.
