Hids are meant for projectors If not you will go around blinding other people that are driving. I cleaned my headlight lensens with a kit from rain x I believe cleaned both twice and they look brand new. My headlights are noticably brighter altough They are still not all that bright but they are good for city driving on low and I've yet to hit a tree on back roads with my brights on. I plan on adding fog lights soon
