There is no direct kit. It will have to be custom built with universal parts, lots of cutting welding and more money and time then you would think. I will move this to the 1st generation Dakota sub-forum. In that section you will find the FAQ2 just a few posts about this one. In the FAQ2 there are several links to custom built turbo setups.

I hope it is not the V8 5.2 Shelby Dakotas came with in 90-91? The V6 Magnum you took out probably had more HP.

No it the v6 out of an 84 that was built by Shelby. It has a lot more power than the stock 96 v6 I took out. I dyno tested my dakota at 245 horse with 8400lb torque now I want more power trying to build a race truck cuz I also own a 97 ram 1500 with the 318 with a 900 r/t trans bored over .045 with forged pistions eagle cam with dual exought

I have no clue what engine you are talking about, in 84 Shelby was not working on V6 dodges, in fact I don't think he ever touched a V6 dodge. In 84 he was working on I4 turbo Dodges. Also, Shelby actually oversaw very few of the Dodge cars that bore his name, most just used his name as an extra package.

I have a tough time believing that a Carbed V6 put down 245HP stock at the wheels. That's what a Magnum V8 5.2L puts out at the crank!

EDIT: This is ignoring the fact that the 3.9L V6 only came out in 1987.

There is a lot of stuff wrong about his posts, to my knowledge Eagle never made camshafts (just rods, cranks, and caps). I don't know what a 900 R/T trans is, and those must be custom .045 over pistons.

Unless he is talking about THIS. And if he is I would hate to see how much he paid for it lol.

When the worst thing about your post isn't a V6 with 8400ft-lbs of torque, it's pretty bad .

Lol I was going to post the same thing. Now that would be a find, hope he doesn't need a rebuild.
