Angry Dodge dakota conversion problem

i have a 1996 dodge dakota and it was an automatic my brother -n- law and I decided to convert it to a 5 speed because the reverse went out on the automatic we got and have everything we need i believe. We have the manual transmission, flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, slave cylinder and master cylinder when we started there there was a black piece on the flexplate everyone told us it was for the overdrive well come to find out its the Crankshaft Position Sensor and we had to buy a new one when we got all the parts put in and bolted down we went to start it and we have no fire and the fuel pump isnt working unless u take a wire and run it straight.. any suggestions on how to fix this and get the truck running?

Have you tested all of your underhood fuses?

It sounds like the one that is for the fuel pump may be blown.

The crank position sensor is different for automatics and manual transmissions. The plugs are different too.
