Everything I've read says you can't even tell the difference between the smaller and larger exhaust b/c the torque curve was moved down the RPM range. At this point in their lives, engine and transmission condition have more to do with performance than original manufacturer specs.

Well **** man, my 92 has a park band or some thing slipped and doesn't like shifting outta second but damn is she peppy as hell. So I dot think it would do much with the tranny cause mines a little pooched while my 94 is in immaculate condition just kinda gutless I guess we'll not like I feel like it should have

Considering that 10hp is probably more like 7hp at the wheels I doubt most people would notice it, let alone consider one to smoke the other. Are the two trucks exactly mechanically identical otherwise? 4x4 vs 2wd, rear diff ratio, tire size, engine condition, etc would probably play a bigger roll.

I did the typical sparkplug wires, cap, rotor, plugs, air filter.
But I also replaced my breather, PVC valve and hoses. Those all helped.
I also took out my Cat, replaced my o2 sensor and thermal sensor.
BUT the thing that gave me the biggest towing boost was my recent replacement of my u-joints and support bearing. Now I have no issues towing.
