Default results of a v8 tb swap onto a v6

Ok so I just finished the swap and drove it around and it works great I wouldn't call it night and day but definitely a hp increase not alot of torque increase though. I know people are saying that the v6 intake manifold bore is the same as the v6 throttle body well its not its bigger I put the gasket up to it and it was identical in size. This was done a 1993 Dakota with the 3.9l.. I paid $50 for it and its definitely worth it

I've been throwing around the idea of changing out the throttle body on my '95. A few things I'm wondering about:
  • Any advice on where/how to get a V8 throttle body? Should it be new? Can I pull it from a vehicle in a junkyard? If so, which Mopar vehicles have the proper one?
  • Other than the throttle body, what parts are needed?
Possibly there's a write up on this that I haven't seen yet. Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

I bought mine from a local junk yard and took it home and cleaned it up.. I paid $50 and *** far as what other vehicles you can get it from idk all of them but I know there's the Dakota the ram I've heard of the vans having them but I didn't see any.. Also jeeps do I got mine off a Cherokee. But other then those I'm not sure what other ones have the magnum motors in them.

Also I just replace a few sensors on my old throttle body and I just cleaned those up and re used them and it seams to be working great just clean the hell out of it and make sure its the same cable connections.. Get a gasket too..

It was really easy just 4 bolts and cleaning and reset the computer.. Takes about 20 minutes with the cleaning

That settles it then. I'll pull one from my local pull-it-yourself yard and make sure the linkage matches up for the cable.

Thanks for your time.

Mission accomplished. I found a V8 throttle body on a Ram 1500 at the junkyard today and now it's installed on my '95. I'd say the small performance increase was worth the time and $38 ($39.61 if you count the new tb gasket).
