I have a 96 6 cyl dakota-the guages work and then they don't work-what do I do to fix it? lights work just fine

the guages on my 96 Dakota don't work all the time-sometimes they do and sometimes they don't-whats up with that?

All the gauges on the dash? Speedometer, gas gauge, oil, ect..If that's it maybe there are some wires that aren't connecting right anymore, or loose a grounding issue. That's how my Dad's 96' Dakota was for his fuel gauge, we ended up just buying a new circuit board for 30$ and tada.

I had a 95 neon do thiss.....(still a dodge) what I had to do was remove clusted and resolder all the cold solder joints.. basicallt heat em up and let them resolder themselves I had some 100 points on that neon didn't take long but worked awsome after the repair

the cold solder joints fail and crack and loose connection overtime,
