Hey I'm starting to work on the Dakota again. I'm working on the doors right now and seats. I just ordered new headlights and side reflectors. I got a new drivers side door found to. Does anyone know if the taillights from a 89 will fit in my truck? I found some that are chrome around it instead of black. Thanks for the help.

 

The listings at RockAuto say 11/87 to 1996 production year, so I'd say yes.

got to watch the ones with the wide chrome trim i remeber with my old 82 ram i bought the chrome ones and they didnt fit even tho it specified it would, somehting with space for the chrome or somthing. might be different with the dakota but just a thought

 

I had the same problem the chrome catches the tailgate ahaha. If you leave some of the screws out or loose can't remember what one you can actually slide it over and tighten the out side ones and they fit! It's either that or trim. I ended up going back to the black ones because I decided on dechroming my truck aside from the mirrors aha.
