Default Wheel Spacers ..

Okay Delema ... i can get a set of 1.5 inch spacers or 2 inch.. 2 inch i can get cheaper at the moment since its stocked item atm and the 1.5 would have to be made.. and give me better turning for my 33X14's but what im trying to figure out is the room required for these tires to pivot properly i know i need to shave the fenders or add more lift but rather get more input on more accurate

Tire: Mud Bogger 33X14R15 overall 32.7 inches high 12.7 inches wide on Durango 8 inch wide rims originally carrying 31X10.5R15 on the durango

(not worried about tracking, bearing, suspension wear etc... i already know these tires are hard on that as it is lol and gonna solid axle a second dakota in the spring(picked up a 91 2wd 5 speed for 250 bucks that needs a clutch :O )

I'm assuming that you already have the rims you want to use, otherwise, I'd recommend a different offset so that you wouldn't have to deal with the extra spacer bolts. If you have enough fender to hide the rubber, I'd go with the 2 inch, there's more meat to it to hold the lugs and you might not need to cut down the ones on the hubs too much (the original lugs usually stick out beyond the spacer and need to be cut back so the wheel rim will fit flush to the spacer). If you cut the hub lugs down too much, you'll have a hard time changing back from using spacers.

Tires already stick out past the stock flares anyway ....

using the stock 99 durango 15X8 rims... offset is hard to find at what i need for the bolt pattern the dakota has .. problem is with the spacer(or more offset rim) is that the tire moves forward further and rear further then with current rims so i need more clearence front and back on fender for turning and im just clearing that now so i know i need to adjust/trim/lift do soemthing so i can clear suspension flex while turning the new spacer will offset the pivot from center and this is what i need to figure out is my front of tire and rear of tire clearance...

Keep it simple, get the two inch spacers. Cheaper, beefier, and require less work to install & to remove later.

okay but i think everyone is missing the point..

adding 2 inches outward causes tire to pivot further forward and rear more... meaning its gonna hit my back of fender(by doors) when i turn this is what i need to figure out how much room i need there..

kinda like the 6 inch body lift with the military tires on here having to cut out fenders and relocate a body mount with spacers to clear it turning

i just need to figure out the pivot clearance adding 2 inches will cause

Turn your wheel to the left till the front right outside is at a 45 degree angle to the wheel well. If you have over 2" between the outside wheel wall and the wheel well you should have enough space to clear it. Do it for the other side too, then turn right and check the front left.

There's a formula for those sorts of things, but I dont have the patience to divide pie by the radius and add the square root of x. I'm more concerned about how big Im cutting the slice of pie to fill the void in my stomach!

In theory, yes. Personally I'd mount them first before hacking off body parts lol. That way you dont end up hacking off more than you need to. Measure twice, cut once!
