Default front end problems

I have a 95 Dakota and the other day I hit a fence post on the front right side. no body damage so I think hit the tire. now my steering wheel is turned toward the left going straight down the road and the truck is pulling horrible toward the right can barley keep it in the road. does this sound like a bent tie road or something worse.

It definitely sounds like a bent something. You shouldn't drive it until the problem is fixed. Jack it up and inspect everything, including the control arms. Compare the two sides and make sure the right looks like the left.

If you have any doubts about your abilities, get it looked at by a pro. Steering isn't something you want to mess with if you don't know what you're doing.

well if its 4x4 it might have bent the centerlink/drag link , idler arm, pitman arm...

cant remember if the 2wd had a rack in 95 but if so more then likely inner tierod if so ..

when my passenger front tire caught the front clip of a car trying to switch lanes...... I bent my idler arm and centerlink on my 92 4x4 .... bastard was lucky my tire caught front of his car , not my bumper... but I still wrote his car off....

UPDATE... put new upper and lower ball joints on the right side. carried it to have front end aligned and was told I needed ball joints on left side. on right side I needed a inner tie rod and wheel baron before he can align it and he found while up on rack that the right motor mount was busted. that fence post is going to end up costing me a lot of money.
