The IAC and MAP sensors? If they aren't available what is the best buy?

not sure on OEM other then OEM... my Jeep didnt like any sensor from aftermarket(standard products) and had to go to stealership..... LOL .. 3000 rpm idle or pay 3 tiomes for parts..lol (only reason i say this is i beleive the TPS/and AIC are same part LOL

Anyway i replaced my MAP the IAC and another sensor made by Delphi (common to Gm world) on my 92 4x4 (318) and works great.. no issues, in the year i had them on it then about 3-4 months before i sold it put a Delphi TPS on it and again was perfect

IAC and TPS are not the same things. One is a motor--IAC. The other is a sensor TPS. OEM would be Mopar or Chrysler labeled. Replacements would be whatever the auto parts store would carry, might be Standard, or Delphi, etc. Delphi used to be a part of GM, but gub'mint motors spun it off years ago--to get divested of a backlog of pensions & health insurance for retirees.

I'd suggest you check out the selection at Rockauto.com.

Already did the TPS I am going to replace the TV cable so I figured I would remove the TB and clean it and replace the sensors as a last ditch effort to eliminate the valve or lifter noise and lack of power on climbing hills. Either way it couldn't hurt.

I'm looking for brand recommendations. The Autozone IAC $35 and MAP $65 sensor (Wells?) both cost as much as the MAP $98 at NAPA (Equine never heard of them) does. Napa is usually good but the warranty is only 36 months on that and the AZ Warranty is lifetime for $30 less. I want good quality of course but is it worth it?

I talked to the dealer who didn't know who made them and they are MAP $128 and IAC $123!

Thanks Brian. I pulled the trigger on RA. $80.94 for both delivered! Standard brand. Let's hope they are good. Go Cougar's!
