Default need upper control arm for 92 dakota 4x4

I'm posting for a friend, he needs a RF upper control arm for his 92 4x4. The ball joint hole is ruined. If anyone has one available in working condition, please post.

You know, its funny you post this as I am in the middle of rebuilding my front suspension.
Don't laugh at me for this, but I think a 97 control arm will work. The shaft bolts are the same and it appears the balljoint aligns properly. It will be 1-2 weeks before I am finished, where I can get it re-aligned, but hopefully it works
BTW the 97 arm uses a bolt on ball joint and not a screw in. I will post back and let you know how it goes.

OK I tried a 97 arm but the ball joint stud is too small on the 97. Its about 1/8 in dia smaller.
Would it be possible to screw it in as best as you could and then using a wire welder, tack it in a few spots?

I told him that if a control arm can't be found, that welding it in might be a last resort. Another shop put it in and somehow, screwed up and the ball joint housing came out of the control arm and f-ed up the control arm.

You have to use the 97 knuckle to use the newer design ball joint.

I wonder if you used the 97 knuckle if everything else would work? BTW if you don't me asking, where did you get the bed cover and bed rails in your picture?

The tonneau cover and bed rail caps came on the truck when I got it.

Hey GWFIXIT, what all parts do you have? I may need a couple things, I'm restoring an '89 convertible 4X4 and I'm right down the road from you - in Chesapeake.
