gage compatibility

It looks like a good adapter, but I've never tried it.
I'm looking at the adjustment on the tach board and am about to play with it to see if I can get it to work right on a V6.
For the V8, you can cheat some - a /2 flip flop will work to get you 2 pulses per revolution. (There's not a simple 2/3 flip flop available, alas.)

Ralph, just to update this, I just sent Dakota digital an e-mail asking the following question. If you don't mind reading it, and correct me, if I mis-represented this situation.
Thanks
I have a question concerning the SGI-8E tach adapter. I want to adapt a tach out of a 92 dodge Dakota to run with a standard HEI system. At first I will be running a v6 motor, then later a v8 motor. I will have a neg. coil terminal to tie into. Also, it is my understanding the factory tach in the 92 dodge Dakota is designed to see 2 pulses per revolution, this is regardless of motor size. Will your tach interface work in this case?
Thanks

I sent you a pm with my email address. If you could help I would appreciate it.
I mainly would like to see a diagram of the printed circuit board connectors.
Thanks again for offering to help!!

Thanks for taking the time sending me the pictures!!
That was exactly what I was looking for.
Now FWIW here are my plans. Pick up a 92 dash with gages. Now I currently have what is called a 87 dash with gages.
So hopefully with your diagram and my orig. 87 diagram "both below" I will be able to re-pin the connectors and then use the Dakota digital tach adapter to wire up the tach.
Hopefully the connectors are not too difficult to get the pins out of.
Again ,thanks for your help!!
