Default Will this motor work?

I have a 93 3.9l 4x4 and someone i know is selling a 5.2l and tranny out of a 93 d150 4x2.

Will the engine and tranny bolt up, or will i have to play around with it?

You will have to play around with it.

Do you know with what exactly? I'm assuming mostly tranny to transfer case because the dak is a 4wd and the donor is a 2wd.

The engine should bolt right up to the motor mounts. I'd have the computer and wiring harness from the donor

from my understanding you cant remove the tailhousing off some 2wd transmissions so making the 4wd impossible, this is something i would check first

I agree. Also, check where the shifter comes through the floor. No experience with it yet, but my understanding the Dakota has a different shifter location. I think the ram series puts the shifter further under the dash.
