Default Torque converter help on 360 swap

I thought I had a good handle on what I needed but found some conflicting info today. I'm doing a 360 5.9l magnum swap circa 2003 crate motor into my 90 dak. I've rebuilt the a500 with beefier parts and should have no issues holding up to the 360. I have the weighted flex plate for the 5.9l and I know I need an a500 converter but will need to elongate one hole to mate to the flexplate. So I was looking for options for a converter which needs to be lockup for the a500. I know PATC carries some and I've read that Mopar performance had a 2500 stall MP166K that are still around for sale. But in reading someone mentioned that the pump changed on the a500 from 93-96 and that the mp166k wouldn't work unless the pump from my 90 a500 was swapped out. Something about dog vs 2 flats that makes no sense to me. Anyone can confirm the difference between 90 and 93-96 converters?

I wish I could help, but I have no idea on that one. Maybe you could call techs at PATC and get some help?

Robert, if you go to rockauto and look up a converter for a 90 and then look at a 95, you will see the snout is different. The early converters basically have a slot cut in the snout, the 95 has a flat spot milled into the side.
