In this instance, I would go new everytime. That's just my personal opinion.
Well, he ask my opinion and I gave it. Plenty of them here, none expose to elements on their interiors. You must have some craptastics junk yards around you. That must suck.

It's not been easy on my 90 build that's for sure....the problem is gen 1s took a drastic left turn from 90 to 91 so most of the specific parts I've needed have to come from 87 to 90....not a single junk yard within an hour has had one. I finally found an 87 from a private seller and was able to grab what I needed.

Dang, seems like doors get pulled off junked cars real quick around here. Awful yards every one that I've been to. The prices are too high and they lie to you on the phone (and in person) to get you to come in to look at **** that won't fit your car, is broken, or rotted body panels when they say they're clean. They're always a last resort for me. Rant. Done.

My driver door cost me $175. To me, that wasn't bad. It was rust free and had the PW and pl like my truck, the paint matched, and the PW and pl still worked when I put the door on. I just had to put my power mirror in since the door I grabbed came off a sport truck.

Going to the junk yard when I finally decide to grab my fenders. $50-80 depending and theyll be rush free and won't need painted. Lot cheaper then new and better quality that won't need painted and blended to my truck. Junk yards around here are great, pick and pulls are even better.

Heh. Doors around here can be had for about $40 to $60 ( see the price lists at uapi.biz and pipesupullit.net ) . The lower hinge is about broken free on my driver's door, so I'll probably grab one at the next "All You Can Carry On One Of Our Carts For $100!" sales (should be up in a week or two).

And the bench seat, the interior trim, possibly the rear bumper and tail gate, etc. ...

That's my plan anyway! Now to see if income matches *grins*

Spoke to the dealer. I will probably follow your advice Ralph.

I have no idea why these posts are breaking up after I allow the site scripts. I spoke to the dealer and will probably follow your advice Ralph. Sit down for this. The price of the retractors is $287 each but here's the real kicker the left buckle that little piece is $330! and the right buckle is $285. Retractor $287 + Retractor $287 + Left Buckle $330 + Right Buckle $285 - $1189 I think $80 for a new retractor is a good deal.

Please tell us what you think of the seatbelts Ralph linked to. $80/seatbelt almost seems too good to be true based on the other prices I've seen... dealer told me $200 for the full apparatus on each side so if the $80 ones work I'd love to know

I chose the 110 belt w/8" sleeve and got a hardware kit for each unit total $191.25 w/shipping. I got the sleeve because the flopping buckle with nothing holding it still to plug the latch into it is what is most bugging me about the broken down setup I have. I measured what was left of the plastic sleeve to come up with that number.
I figured out the posting problem. It was my browser, one of the settings was changed.
