Lmao, butt hurt. Go **** off buddy. You're a retard. I'd say more but you wouldn't get it and you're not worth the explanation. Go educate yourself. You might learn something but I doubt it.

Couldn't have said it better myself! You will NEVER see and cheby crap in any of my mopars. You can add the blue oval in with that also. And i think you(Toby Warford) need to stop insulting and calling people names because you don't agree with them. I'm sure there is something in the rules of the forum about it that you didn't read when you signed up.

Toby,
Sure is easy throwing insults around via keyboard to someone you don't know, ever met. IDK how much real "experience" you have (or don't) but I would venture to guess that I have forgotten more than you will ever know. There are Chevy based websites, Ford based websites and yeah probably Toyota and Kia based websites.
I have been licensed to drive for over 30 years and have been working on cars longer than that, about 25 years worth of making my living doing so.
In all my time of driving, I have driven about everything. (necessity when you have to test drive customers' cars) For my own use, I have never owned anything but Dodges and Jeep products. Ever. So I go to Dodge and Jeep based websites. Looking for info on Dodges and Jeeps. Go post your trash over there.
NOT bull$#!T about "putting a Chevy powertrain in anything with 4 wheels"... IF I wanted BS about Chevys I would not be here.

To an extent I agree. But the LS/Vortec motors are swapped into every single car ever, and there is a reason why. In his original post, OP said nothing that would indicate he wanted MUCH more power and the suggestion for swapping an LS certainly came from way out in left field. He did ask about the potential for a low boost (assuming homegrown) setup but was reluctant to do it. But when OP said he wants to run 10s/11s I also thought it was ridiculous to start with a 318 and in fact its ridiculous to start with any of the stock powertrain and suspension. While Toby's insults (I ignored his posts so I can't see them unless someone quotes them) are childish, I don't think it's all that reasonable to never talk about mixing Dodge/Ford/Chevy. Just my opinion and I'm not going to call you stupid for having a different one. There is some really good advice in this thread particularly from 93 ragtop.

The ironic thing about posts like this is, do you realize how many dodge vehicles don't have dodge engines in them from the factory?

Two off the top of my head are the beloved Cummins and the 1st gen viper.

Gtfo out here with your purist bull**** attitude. Even dodge doesn't listen to your ignorant purist attitude.

Toby, what's with the name calling and insults? Volaredon may have attacked your subject matter, but he avoided attacking you. There's a difference.

The people using this forum understand that opinions are just that, and if you offer something another poster finds valuable, you'll often be thanked for it. With all due respect, it's not a contest, and there's no point in trying to force a point, if you know what I mean. We get where you're coming from, you've spelled out your argument, there's no shame if it isn't being bought by everyone. Ease up, enjoy the forum and try not to turn it into a mud fight.

If the shoe fits, put it on.

Its one thing to say you don't like an LS engine, or to say you'd never put one in a Mopar. But to call it it "silly" or "cookie cutter" and to tell someone take a hike because they're talking about a great engine is idiotic and ignorant. Ffs, were all a bunch of strangers. Getting that butt hurt over a strangers words on the internet is childish and retarded. Some people lack common sense, that guy is one of them.

Here's a querp to avoid all of this...

Find a cheap 340 Stroker, weld the mounts, get the adapter plates (Or find a compatible trans) and slap'er on in. There's a reason the 340 Dusters were notorious for being absolute sleepers.

As for the ****face that goes by the name of Toby... you're not above being perma-banned. You're probably some pompous kid that never got things that he wanted daddy to give him so you gotta stay on the rag and make everyone's day a ****storm. Here's some advice you REALLY should consider: Get the **** out of here with that prissy high school **** bull**** or learn to actually play with others. I'm sure the mods will have fun blasting your *** with the ban cannon if you don't follow that other option I suggested...

On at least 6 posts here you've insisted that the only acceptable choice is the one you suggest. Do you really think that no one else's advice here is as worthy as yours? I promise you, there are many alternatives that might be acceptable here, and each one's merit depends on the resources and the preferences of the person doing the project, not your preferences, or that of any other poster. So presenting your case as the "best advice", while putting down other's ideas, is offensive. It's also guaranteed to draw fire, and when it does and you respond with personal attacks, you don't get to claim the high road.

You're so far off its not even funny. Reading comprehension isn't your strong suit it seems.
