Default Seat Belt Question

On my 87, There is a plastic piece that puts a quarter twist in the belt coming up through the seat. Does anyone know of a source to get replacements? Thanks. Mine are busted from age.

Not really; most of the boneyard pieces are also busted due to age.

This is a possible opportunity for someone with a good 3D printer, though; scan a good one, and print them on demand.

This applies to my 94 so you should confirm the part numbers with a dealer. Buckles for bench seat- L inner F959raz R inner F958raz these are discontinued parts Those part numbers should help you search. I got mine here last month. http://www.vpartsinc.com I had to call their number as the site isn't all that user friendly.

Thanks to both of you for your input. I was hoping to find some form of a universal cover or possibly one from a different make or model vehicle that would work.
The part no. F959raz , I believe is for the whole seat belt and seems to be about $275.00
Me, being cheap was looking for something way less. ie. 20 bucks each, hopefully.
But thanks again for your input.

Like RalphP said, your best bet is looking through junkyards. The part doesn't necessarily have to come from a dakota. You might be able to find a non-rotted piece from a newer truck or minivan and rig it to work for your dak.

No sadly that is the price for the buckle. They charge the same for each buckle (the driver comes with the middle seat belt attached and the passenger comes with the buckle for the middle attached) and the same again for each seatbelt. I managed to get one seatbelt from a dealer for $115 plus shipping the other for $187+. Then the buckles cost me $416 delivered. That is where I got those part numbers. In my search I was given a part number and purchased what turned out to be a bucket seat buckle. Then another dealer gave me the right part numbers for the bench seat. That is what I gave you. Its one of those things where you have to decide if you want what the engineer designed or what will work for you.
