Default 2nd Dakota In my life

Well apparently my Dakota is 1st gen LOL
its a 1993 6 lug 4 wd with a 3.9 atuo trans
anybody got a link to the trans numbers d transfer case numbers?
All I know is the Jeep I traded for it had a NP 231 transfer case.
Heres the thing the last one I had was a 88 2wd with a 3.7 this one is a 93 3.9 4wd 6lug axles and even running as bad as it does currently ( just got it today( it will remove the grass under both rear wheels, which tells me it had limited slips

the 88 would have also been a 3.9 not a 3,7. no "link" that I know of trans should be a 42 or 44 rh (they look the same from outside, 44 is just a little bit "stronger" inside--)more clutch discs in the clutch packs) and the transfer would be a 231, if your Jeep was an auto it may have been the same if a stick the spline counts are different but still a 231/
I have had 6 Dakotas, all "1st gen". 89. 90, 92 (still have), 93 (miss that one, the only stick trans of the bunch), 94, and 96 (only 4X4 of the bunch, still have this one too)

I'm guessing you mean the Transfer case is a NP 321 which works out GREAT, because my oldest sons Cherokee has the
same and he blew it to pieces, and when we rebuilt it, it left me worth a few leftover parts
