wow.... something IS wrong with that truck... my 90 with a 3.9 2wd long bed, 3.55 rear end got 16 in town and 20 on the road like clockwork.... or you drive it like a Bat outta He11....

According to build sheet , truck came ordered with it. I'm the second owner. Almost to 89k original miles.

Can changing the lubricants to a different type slightly help with mpg ?

Defind "these trucks" you mean all first gens, or pre magnum? Because my v8 gets its best mileage at 70mph... And as you know but he doesn't, my truck gas a good bit extra weight added, and is 4x4... And I still have the trash box for a transmission...

I guarentee you it didnt come with a Dana 70 from the factory. Something just ksnt right here.

Its probably a 7.25. What's the rear end cover look like? Google images can help you.

It has 10 Bolts holding the cover on. Just went and looked and compared it to a Dana on google , they don't match. So I had to have misread the build sheet and whoever told the previous owner it had a Dana didn't know what they where talking about.
