Default Tow hooks

So I have a 1990 Dakota and as a typical young male I get the truck stuck in some weird spots and need to be pulled out from the front. I've been putting a strap around the frame but that is a pain when its under mud or water. i was wondering if any one has any ideas for tow hooks

There are some aftermarket companies that make 'em, but, I don't know if they ever actually came from the factory with them.

Fab something simple up and bolt it to the front ears of the frame. These trucks were optioned with plows so they already got holes to use for bolts. If you're craft you might not even need to weld anything. Sorry I have no specifics about design but that should be a fun project for you.

I made a few different tow hooks for my truck before. At first, I mounted some hooks on some thick brackets. I soon found out "HOOKS" sucks, due to the open nature of a hook, whatever you have attached may come off. The best option is a fully closed style like a loop or a Shackle. When I did my SAS I custom made a front hitch with D-Ring Shackles attached. I love this style. Here is a post of some custom tow hooks I put together on 1st Gens. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/1st-gen...tow-hooks.html
