Mechanic picked the truck up today
My problem with just pulling the AIR pump is, that there's only two belts to the water pump. AIR pump is one; power steering is the other.
I drive enough miles I get pretty darn nervous.
I may pick up another AIR pump from the boneyard, gut it, and see if I can find brand new sealed bearings for the shaft so it can act as an idler for the truck.
(ANOTHER reason to swap to a Magnum later, to pick up the serpentine belt; but I SURE do lust after that Red Ram baby Hemi!)

Hey Ralph,
I have the old pump off of mine. It locked up so I just removed it. Been running off of 1 belt for a couple of years now......
If you can use the pump, let me know....
The truck is a 87 with 75-80 thousand miles at the the time it was removed.
