Quite possibly all of them, and even possibly a plugged cat and/or bad ECU. And there's other possibilities.

I would suggest getting the testing path out of the factory service manual and walking down that.

8MPG? I have driven 440 powered vehicles that were better than that.... my 78 D300 dually with a 2 barrel carb'd 360, 4 speed with granny low (and no OD) and 4.10s got 10 MPG, whether loaded or not, towing, cruisng the highway or in town.... my last 3.9 powered Dakota (94 reg cab shortbed 2wd) got a consistent 17.

you do not need a service manual to "start to fix the problem"..... do some basic checks and a complete tuneup, check for vacuum leaks, would be a good start. cap rotor wires plugs (no Bosch or E3s, just use basic copper Champion or Autolites) spend the extra $1 or $2 on the better cap rotor and wires (better cap has brass contacts, cheaper is aluminum which will corrode faster) plus air filter, breather filter, PCV valve.....

did you clean the hole in the throttle body while you had the iac out?

and I see new plugs and wires but no new cap and rotor?
