Default Turn signals

I searched on here for this before I asked but couldn't find anything. I don't have a shop manual/owner's manual so I can't look it up there either.

I have a 95 Dakota, every so often the turn signals would go out. I watched it once at a stoplight, I had the turn signals on and the battery gauge was flickering, still showing good but flickering. Then a day or so after that the turn signals went out. I checked under the hood all those fuses looked good. Under the dash I don't know anything about those fuses. Another thing, I've never had hazard lights on this truck.

I guess I need to know where to look.
Thanks for the help!

The Factory Service manual for the 95 is on the FAQ page, you can download it from there. Otherwise you can buy it from Rock Auto or on ebay.

Thanks for the info about the service manual, I had forgotten about that on here.

I did some checking, is that the yellow 20 amp that you're talking about? Also, there's a flasher relay under the dash too, right?

There's actually two, one for turn signals, one for hazards.

Both are EP52 type flashers; I'd grab a pair of CEC EF32 or similar LED compatible ones in case you go LED later.

Ok to kind of revive this thread,
I did FINALLY replace the relays. I had a hard time getting the hazard relay in so I didn't bother. I did put the turn signal relay in, I figured that was the most important.

However, after I put it in the truck in the parts store parking lot, I turned out on the road, got a couple of stoplights down and then no turn signals. Relay is still in place, fuses are still good.

Where do I go from here?

As previously recommended, grab the factory service manual from the FAQ.

Dig out the pages on the flasher circuits.

Sit with your trouble light and trace the signal.

It could be you did the wrong flasher; it could be the multi function switch; it could be the wiring in the fuse box; it could be a lot of things.

So I put in the hazard relay today, after I noticed that the hazard button was up. I don't know how long it had been like that since I didn't have that relay in, it didn't flash so I didn't notice.

Anyways, I pushed the button down and my turn signals started working again. Hazard button up=no turn signals, hazard button down=turn signals. But even with the new hazard relay those still don't work.

I have that same problem intermittently.

When the truck gets back, while the seat's out being redone, I'll be checking the wiring.
