my 1992 dakota v8 4x4 transmission finally went out. can't find a 4x4 dakota at the junk yard but ive found plenty of 95 dodge rams . i believe both have a518/46rh transmission would it be possible to just swap the trans from the ram to the dakota ?

 

Yep. Bolt right in, hook right up. Make sure to get one from behind the same size motor though, torque converters are different from 5.2 to 5.9, and mixing and matching just doesn't work.
