Climate control vent mode buttons sticking

Hey everyone. I need a little advice on how to make the climate control vent mode buttons on my 1992 dakota stop sticking. Just need some thoughts. Thanks.

Pull the control head, clean, and lubricate the mechanism. (I think a silicone based lube would be best here.)

Can of silicone spray and a rag is about all you need. Worked great for mine
