Default 1987 (only) stock intake manifold

Anyone have an intake manifold for a 1987 3.9 (carbureter).

Long story (dumb me) but I need one.

Thanks!!

What part of the country are you at?

There's a 1987 at the Pipe's U-Pull-It with the 3.9 in it in Shreveport LA.

Central Iowa.

Looking at car-part.com, as was suggested above, the closest one is nearly 300 miles away.

Interesting, for sure! Thanks for the feedback!

I'm in Iowa, in Des Moines, are you close to me? There's a 87 V6 LB 4x4 at Wrench n Go on Maury St. It was just set maybe a week ago so it'll likely be there for a while. It was that kinda cream color, decent truck but frame was rusted out badly. Wrench n Go is a upull yard, you go in and get what you need. Their website says aluminum intake is $35.99 with a $8 core so bring your old one. I'm not sure if that price is accurate though they tend to not keep the online prices up to date.

PM me if you need to.

Steve

Email or call them. A lot of those yards will ship parts to you; won't know of it's worth the money until you ask them!

I agree with Ralph. But someone mentioned alum. intake? Not factory, that thing is cast iron!! So shipping will be a little more.....

Thanks Steve!

I'll check that one out. As long as it's from a carb engine, it should work just fine!

I live south of Indianola, and work at General Mills in Avon Lake, so this is definitely do-able.

What web-site did you use to find this?

Yeah, I'm betting if it's oem, it'll be cast. And, I've never found an after-market intake for the 3.9.

'87 was an orphan year. First year for the 3.9, only year for the carburetor. I've been told that the throttle body intake for 88 and later isn't the same and won't work.
