1988 Dakota -- trying to figure out which pins I need to jumper to get the fuel pump going (need to run the fuel pump with the ignition off -- doing some tests). Thanks!
Yep... Ralph saves the day yet again. You're on it Ralph. ON IT! Always. Thank you kindly.
Ahem.
The same info is in the wiring diagrams in the factory service manual. I'd HIGHLY recommend you pick one up - Ebay used, autobooksbishko.com or your favorite book store new.

For anyone else who might come across this, you can do the jumper wire trick RalphP mentioned, but, another, and, in my opinion anyway, safer option is a bypass relay, which you can pick up at any parts store. It basically looks like the original relay, and you plug it in where the relay goes, but, it has an on off switch so less chance of a problem. The pic shows what im talking about.
OTOH - they don't carry them at the local O'Reilly's, AutoZone, or Advance Auto ... and they cost a bit more than two 1/4" FastOn males and 6" of 12GA wire
IF I was doing this for a living, oh, HELL yeah, I'd have two or three sets of those relays!

Although they cant be had in store most places anymore (which sucks, since i got mine at Autozone when they still carried them in store), they can be ordered through them.
