Replace the fuel pump assembly in the fuel tank.

It self purges on its own when it runs. Unless there's a leak; then you'll have a nice puddle of fuel under the truck!

Just messing around with it at the moment but, before I replaced the fuel pump, It died with crank but no start, but fuel pump was not heard, Replaced the fuel pump and now I hear it, but still crank no start, unless its with starter fluid

Is any fuel getting out of the pump to the injectors? Does the fuel rail build up pressure?

And the obvious - you DID put some more fuel into the tank, right?

But how to prime the system -

1) Turn ignition on. Wait 10 seconds. turn off. wait 10 seconds.

2) Repeat one at least ten times.

3) See if it now starts on its own.

That's all there is to priming the lines. If that doesn't work, it's not just "air in the lines".

.Same place as on my old Malibu, or on my Cougar.

At the Schrader valve on the fuel rail.

But before you do much else - in the FAQ here is a link to the factory service manual for a 1995 Dakota. I'd HIGHLY recommend downloading that and using it while you're troubleshooting.

BTW, it's supposed to be 35-45 PSI at the Schrader valve while idling; it should hit at least 35 after 3 to 4 prime cycles. If fuel isn't getting there, time to check back at the fuel pump assembly and making sure your Airtek/Wells fuel pump isn't DOA (or whatever brand you bought).
