Default 93 dakota no overdrive or cruise.

Vss was disconnected, reconnected it and threaded it all the way on. Still no overdrive or cruise. Checked fuses relays all good. Checked neutral safety switch. Was disconnected reconnected it and now my reverse lights are on in park neutral and reverse. Turn off only in drive. And for some reason the neutral safety switch has a wire tap clip thats grounded out to the frame. Am completely mind boggled and have no idea where to go now

Get rid of the extra wire on the P/N switch. See what changes.

Does your speedometer work?

Have a scanner that will tell you what the pcm thinks is going on?

Its a 93 so no obd port or anything. Though its a new pcm. I was having injector issues put this new pcm in and no more missing. Last thing to fix is cruise. Also no codes are getting thrown

Read data. Make sure the computer is getting a reading from the VSS, etc.

I don't know if they even have OBDI readers any more......... but yeah, if they have one, it might. Might wanna call 'em and ask if they even do OBDI any more. I know the places around me don't.
