Default 1993 Dakota Control arm....PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

I took my upper control arms off today because they need new bushings, or so I thought, I ordered new bushings from Moog the other day and was going to press them in, problem is the shaft that goes through the bushings ( I forget the name) that has the two bolt holes and threaded ends for the nuts is so bad off the bushing will simply fall down onto the shaft and wobble
I need new ones , I MUST have the truck running again ASAP or else I will have to sell it, as scrap because around here nobody wants it except me
Please help if you can I need to know where I can get new shafts other than a junk yard which will sell me a whole upper control arm with a shaft as bad as mine

Mine are the result of the guy that had her before me not greasing anything for 15 years and muddling with it, I'd still like to put my size nine up his butt

That's a part number 52059040 and a part number 52059041 . Checking PartsVoice.COM and RearCounter.COM I don't find anybody with either one.

You just might need to buy other control arms.

OTOH ... the shaft wobbles in the bushing after pushing the bushing into the arm? Both bushings?

I've only got the passenger side off right now, I'm scared to take of the drivers side, but I don't know if the other end wobbles or not the bushing fell apart and the inner metal piece is rusted onto the shaft so I'm assuming both sides are eh same condition

If the inner piece is rusted onto the shaft, how can you test it for fit? It'll wobble some until it's bolted together.

This is just a suggestion, and I have never tried it,

Could you get a poly set of bushings, and assuming the shaft is worn, have the new inner sleeve welded to your existing shaft? The reason I suggest this is the difference in how the bushings work.
OEM rubber bushings flex in the rubber. Poly bushing slide on the sleeves......

This is all assuming that you could weld the sleeves on and then assemble the poly bushings....

I jacked it up and shook it down if you a floor jack on the middle of the lower control arm and pick it up you can use a bar and see the bushings move

Uhhh ....

You know, rubber rots over time. You don't KNOW the new bushings are loose, you just know the OLD ones are.

Mine were like that when I went to replace them; but the new bushings are/were nice and snug.

(They're also poly, but that's a different story.)

ok let me clarify, the old ones I removed were rotted and broken, nothing was ever greased so rust took over, the new bushings are Moog metal outside and metal sleeve when I slip a new bushing over the shaft it is so loose it just drops onto it, that is BEFORE installing them in the control arm, I don know about after installation, I freaked out yesterday and started looking for a part that nobody makes anymore
Here what I have to do, put it back together and hope RalphP, is right and they are loose until its bolted up, but I need to get a old control arm and take it to a Indian at my wok that can make anything on the metal lathe and see if he can built new shafts for me he worked at dodge and probably built my truck, I still need to take et vin and give it to him cause he has a list of thousand of vin's he built,

But I will post on here my results on here, I think it B******T that I cant get the parts new anymore, I can find anything for a 93 durango but last time I checked my upper ball joints screws in not rivet

ok I can NOT find that part ANYWHERE locally or online, so I was gonna weld the inner part to the shaft, but nobody carrier a bushing for it, so basically I'm screwed. therefore I have to ask the following question

What years of OTHER trucks will fit, Like a 1993 D150 upper control arm, im asking because I can get those all day under $50 on rock auto
and since there are readily available they probably wont fit, and asking google is like asking what came first religion or governments
