Default Low Pressure Port Location?

Hi, does anyone happen to know where the low pressure port is located to recharge my a/c? My truck is a 1995 Dakota 3.9 v6 Auto. Any help appreciated!

According to the parts diagram, the low pressure port is in the liquid line, over by the SBEC. It shows the high pressure line on the manifold where it bolts to the A/C compressor.

You ARE using a proper gauge set, right? Don't use one of those single hose kits, and for $DEITY's sake, DO NOT USE ANY SEALER ON IT UNLESS YOU WANT TO REPLACE EVERYTHING.

I do see the high pressure port on the a/c compressor. I also see a line on the passenger side that sits a little behind the head light, is that the low port you are talking about? I can upload photos to give you a better understanding when the sun rises. Thanks

On my 94 the low pressure fill spot is near the top of the engine compartment behind the passenger headlight as you describe. AFAIK a fill tube won't screw on to the high pressure side because they are different sizes.
There is a 1995 factory Service manual you can download from the FAQ section.

Ok so the first photo is the low-side service port and the high port is on the a/c compressor as shown in the photo?

Yes.

And as onemore94dak said, the connectors won't fit the other valve off the manifold gauge set.

If you are trying to fill it the store bought can of R134a with hose should only attach to the low pressure side. Your first picture looks like my 94 low side.
The AC unit is in chapter 24 of the 1995 FSM in the FAQ section https://dodgeforum.com/forum/1st-gen...e-manuals.html
