Default let me fix it boss...

OK Based on the idea Mopar sensors work better. I pulled the trigger and purchased a Mopar IAC (for my 94dak) it is actually listed as the "motor air speed" something on the dealers computer $101.40
I found a Mopar MAP on rock auto. $71 and change. Has anyone else had problems using pay pal with Rock Auto lately? It was a nightmare. Took over an hour to get the thing bought.Edit- forgot to mention the dealer price was $130ish for the mopar MAP

The Mopar TPS is NLA part 4778463. Arizona parts has it but he is keeping it for his own rig. So if you find something on there listed as $.01 it means he is keeping it for himself. Apparently when he bought his rig new in 94 he bought 3k worth of spare parts he could think of it needing. Anyone have an after market rec?
I saw a sold NOS ad for one on ebay that had these part numbers attached as well 4761871AC, 4778463, 5234903, 5234904,

TPS is just a variable resistor, so, not exactly a *critical* sensor. The aftermarket fellers will actually work. (Standard Motor Products brand if you can get it.)

I am letting it cool off right now. I have Champion copper plus plugs, and new Mopar IAC and MAP I will install once it is cooled down.
I thought I was doing great on mileage it was down to just above 1/4 tank and I have 228 miles on the tank. I filled it up and it took 15.44 gallons. That works out to 14.76 mpg.within range of what I have been getting. So I am sure the tire pressure helped but I should be getting more. Next tank I'll see. Hopefully it will be better. Does a Mopar crank sensor make that much difference? This one from Napa definitely improved how it ran when I put it in 4+ years ago.

I dunno; my 1988 is ranging from 17 to 19 MPG right now, depending on how much highway and how fast on the highway.

Thanks Ralph. Had a day.
Dropped one of the MAP sensor torx bolts. I couldn't start the other rig put the dak battery in it and almost ran it down before I stopped. Dug out the old mountain bike and pumped up the tires and rode over to Auto Zone. The bolt is an M5 the one that fits is the .8x12mm. It takes a 5/16 socket.
Got it and the IAC on, put the TB back and skipped the plugs as the rain is coming in. I drove it 25 miles or so and it seemed like it was better but that always happens right after a battery disconnect.

I put the champion copper plus plugs in.
I drove it another 20 miles. What I have noticed in improvements is that when I touch the gas there is no power suck. It feels a lot more like my foot and the motor are moving in unison and I don't feel like I am giving a lot more gas than I am getting back in response. It may be the new Mopar IAC and MAP.
I did something else I never did when I put it back together after the plenum. I lightly coated the bottom of the TB gasket with petroleum jelly when I put it back on and the gasket under the air cleaner box. That may have plugged an air leak I was not aware of.
So far, so good.
