Make sure you have bolts long enough for the new plate thickness and the new base thickness of the intake itself. I do not have those numbers.
I went with Hughes and got all new bolts for both from them since it matched up to their kit.

The aluminum plate I bought comes with high grade bolts and flat washers along with some blue loctite.
I think the dorman gasket kit comes with new bolts for the intake and for the plenum as well. Thanks for the reminder though. I hate to get into something and have to dig up parts and chase stuff down.

Suggestion? Go ahead and spend the dosh for some ARP bolts for the intake/head juncture.

As to a spare intake - hit up car-part.com and have one shipped to you.

Or hit up Facebook; there's always someone wanting to swap their kegger (factory) intake for an aftermarket one.

Also - you do NOT have to! But I'd check out what Marty's been doing with keggers over at UTAWESOME PERFORMANCE - Home - Specifically, the VRP (Volume Reduction Plate).

Might consider doing to the timing set while you are there as well. It's like six more bolts to get to it..... (and the water pump bolts.... which you might wanna change too.)
