Default Still won’t start

Hey, so I made a post a couple days ago about insight on why my 93 Dakota may not be starting. It’s still cranking but that’s it. Today I was able to look deeper into it, I’ve figured it’s not a fuel issue so my next thought was spark… turns out the ignition coil is not getting power, leading the distributor to not get power, which is not giving me a spark to get the engine going. Should I check the computer ?? The plug on it is all beat up and there is a chafed wire. Does anybody have a diagram of that plug? Or a wiring diagram for any of those parts, or a good place to find them? Is there something else in the spark process I’m missing?? Any advice is appreciated ! Thank you

Go on ebay and get yourself the 1993 Bishkos field service manual. Less than $40 and is the bible for your Dakota.

I’ll link it for you if you want. Should have all the wiring stuff in it. Look it over.

A link would be great! I found the dodge owners manual but the only wire info it has is for the relays/fuses

Look at post above yours. I linked you. It’s a CD Rom. Hard copies might be available but they’re usually more dough and not necessarily in good shape.

there’s also a downloadable one in the sticky section but it’s for a 1995. According to our dear, recently passed, friend Ralph, there are differences in the electrical between 93 and 95 so that 95 fsm might not be reliable.

Keep in mind, the coil and injectors only get power for about 3 seconds at initial key on, after that, only if the PCM sees the engine turning.

And turning key off and turning it on again will reset the 3 second clock?
