New memeber and my 94 Convertible project.
Normally I dread seeing someone cut a clean example up. When I ran a salvage yard, I used to get a bunch of projects where someone got in over their head. It looks like you're that one out of ten that actually has the skills to do it right. Instead of ladling bondo on it, you're actually doing a quality job.
Thanks. It isn't hard but it is time consuming. Putting things together and taking them apart 10-12 times each step to make fine adjustments is the tedious part. You can't be in a hurry and do something like this. ASCs attempt at this proved that to me. I'm sure not all verts were this bad from them but mine was horrible. I know no one will ever see my hard work below the skin but I will know it was done the best it could be when complete.
Once you get it done, it will look like any other rag top Dakota. After a year though, the extra time will pay off. You won't have leaks and squeaks and it will still look good.
