The 94 FSM says it doesn't have the rail fuel filter. I assume that is the year they switched. The fuel filter is in the fuel pressure regulator unit on top of the pump assembly and is mechanical in nature not dependent on vacuum.
Here's the fuel injector page I got mine from I still have the old ones which "someday" I will get to and learn how to rebuild/clean https://www.motormanfuelinjection.com/contact.html

EDIT-That is weird I had the link to the page that shows the exact injectors

Can’t imagine it being engine-dependent. I have a 5.2 magnum.

Nah, I am pretty sure that was a 'year' thing. So far as I know, ALL the second gen full-sized trucks have the in-tank filter. (except, perhaps, der diesel.) That'd be 94 and up.

It isn't. The fuel pump assembly that I have is from a 96 V8. I happened to find it before they dropped the tank on a truck that had just come in and they sold it to me. They usually toss them. It looks exactly like the one in the FSM. When they dropped the tank it was half full of gas.

Didn't think it would be engine-dependent. Not sure what prompted the engineers to switch from '93 to '94. I mean, that's a fairly significant change to go from the frame to the tank.
