Default '96 3.9L Fuel Injectors?

Does a Dakota first generation 3.9L magnum (1996 year model) have fuel injectors that would need to be cleaned or replaced? Thank you.

It does indeed have injectors. Six of 'em. Cleaned or replaced? That depends on if they are giving you a problem. They are pretty reliable...... What problems are you having?

No problems, just thinking maintenance for now.

Agree with HY especially as it pertains to injectors. Fuel these days from reputable gas stations generally do not foul up your injectors. So leave ‘em alone. If there ever is a problem with them it will let you know. I’d be more inclined to change the fuel filter before monkeying with injectors. Fuel filters are regular maintenance items. And not a hard job.

I suspect his filter is in the tank, and part of the fuel pump module... so, not cheaply replaceable.

Mine is along the frame on my ‘93 and I assumed it would be the same on all the 1st Gens. But what do I know?
