Default Dakota Racing Team

So i race my 96 Dakota in an endurance racing series. First race we were 100% a stock 96 4 banger. For our second race i lowered the suspension 4-6 inches, swapped to American Racing wheels wrapped in yokohama race tires. Third race i added some random bolt ons. Needless to say we were still pretty slow, but had decent finishes off the basis we had very few problems and made decent fuel economy compared to everyone else. Finally, the little AMC 2.5 gave up the ghost and we ordered a stroker crate engine from 505 performance. We are awaiting delivery. While waiting we added a front sway bar (we were leaning so bad we burned the paint in the engine bay from tire rub). My question is 2 part- anybody had any experience with 505 or stroker motors in general? i am not sure what to expect. Shop says the motor is good for 210 horsepower, which is twice what we had. seems a bit ambitious to me. other part of the question is do i need a new PCM to accomodate the stroker motor? i cant find one anywhere that says anything about it, and i am sure i am not the first to throw a 2.5/3.1 stroker motor in something. pic for attention

I would fully expect you will need a custom tune to run that engine. Might chat with the folks you are buying it from, and see if they offer anything.

No experience with the vendor.....
