Default Dual fan conversion

I got a 96 dakota and I just purchased duel fans and it came with a thermoswitch but I have no open areas to put it in was wondering if I can just splice the wire from the relay to one of the 2 sensors on the intake manifold I know the left on is the one going to the ecm and the right one is going to the gauges so would splicing into one of them turn the fans on I do not want to put the thermoswitch into the upper radiator hoses trying to make it look nice under the hood

Nope. They are sensors, not switches, so, they constantly pass at least some current.

what if I splice the gauge sensor wire into the ecm wires sensor and take the other spot for the thermoswitch for the fans

I believe they operate at two different voltages. PCM sensor will have 5 volt input, and somewhat less than that output. Guage sensor I think is 12 volts, and it grounds thru the intake.... so, prolly wouldn't work. Maybe drill/tap another hole for the switch?

Have to find a spot in the Hughes airgap intake but that’s going to have to be a another day project I’ll just do the coupling in the upper radiator hose for it useless I can find any-fitting or something at home depot

On chevy heads, there was a spot to screw in temp sensors, when they stopped using those style sensors, they just put pipe plugs in there, and called it a day. Anything like that on your heads?

For a fan switch though, I would think you would want it to read coolant temp in the radiator....... or at least, very close to it. Hence the adapter for the upper hose.....
