Ok, I am seeing a 6 wire connector at the tank? Fuel pump power comes on Dark green with black trace wire. According to the diagrams I have, it is one wire from the PDC, to the pump... no connectors, splices, or anything else in between.... Weird.
Very wierd! The connector I show in the photo on the truck's front wheel-well is the harness that goes to the fuel pump. There is no power on that wire at the fuel pump. I removed the connector and checked the pins for that wire and no 12 volt power ever goes through that wire when I have another person turn the key to the on position to energize the fuel pump relay. I can inject 12 volt power to the fuel pump at the red wire going to the fuel pump module with everything cut off and the fuel pump will run. The wires to the other end of that connector come from the firewall.
Yes, when the battery is connected and the fuel pump relay removed, I get constant 12 volt power to the fuel pump relay on the bottom pin (circled in orange). When the key is switch to the on position in the truck, power is also on the pin to the right (circled in green) and the bottom pin.
The wiring harness that heads to the fuel pump seems to come out of the firewall of the truck (see the yellow highlighting), goes into a connector, then runs down the wheel-well and the driver's side of the frame of the truck to the fuel pump and possibly the rear lights.
Both C207 and C116 are in the photo I provided. C207 is the connector for the harness going back to the fuel pump (yellow highlighted). C116 is the bulkhead connector with the bolt holding it to the firewall. I'll check for the fuel pump wire in the C116 connector and see what may be going on..
