Default Wiper Spindles

Hi,

I just bought a 92 Dakota, and one of the problems that came with it was the wiper motor was dead. I was attempting to pull the wiper arms off the spindles but I had no luck getting the passenger side off the way it's intended to come off. The driver side came off with a lot of persuading, but the passenger side was completely seized to the spindle, even after soaking in penetrating fluid for a day, prying with a prybar, etc. So I had to cut it off and nicked the spindle to a point where I believe it will need to be replaced. I'm trying to find just the spindle to replace but I'm not having any luck with that or really anything related to the wiper transmission minus the bushings.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks

I have but there isn't one too close to me, and I'd hate to drive to one just to run into the same issue I had. I plan on going as a last resort.

Car-Part.com. That will tell you who has 'em. Then, CALL the yard, see if they have what you need, and if they will ship it to you.

I never dealt with these places thru car-part. Are they generally receptive to shipping parts?

Some are, some aren't. Need to call 'em and have a chat.

I've used the wiper pivot with large chunks missing before. Just smooth it out at the nick. If most of the splines are still there, put the new wiper arm over it. Now, if you broke it, that's another story.
