Help me source 96 5.2 auto engine harness?

Lol. Pretty much the same way I did it. I used a microdriver too. Ground the tip a little so it slid past the tab easier. Then wrapped a piece of tape around the shaft to use as a depth gauge to ensure I didn’t go too deep. Used a piece of credit card to put behind the tab so it didn’t bend back too far. I was kinda hoping you had a magic trick but sounds like you were pretty much doing close to the same thing. Haha. I often thought it mighta been easier to get a used connector with the wires still in it (that’s what I did but pulled the wires out) and just lop off the harness wires then sit there and solder the 55 wires back on the connector.

I got a set like this one
Amazon Amazon
off eBay when I needed to change out a connector on my old Ram50. It was very cheap, less than $10, as are the tiny aluminum keys.But if you are gentle they work once you figure out which key to use.
