I own a 93 Dakota Sport with a 2.5L K Engine 5-speed, she’s been great! I had a thought of buying another 93 V8 (V6 is acceptable), an extended cab and 4X4, but it’s an automatic. In theory, could I swap the transmissions if the vehicles to make the V8 with a standard transmission?
Roughly, how much would that cost to be professionally done?
Would it be worth it?

Is the 2.5 truck 4x4? If it isn't, then no, the trans will not swap.
