I did not heat the shop yesterday or last night. At 7 am yesterday it was 63 inside when I turned off the heater, and at sunrise this morning it was 13 degrees outside. I checked the inside temperature at 8 am this morning, and the shop was 44 inside. The only opening is the dead bolt hole in the human door. I think we have a very well insulated building!

That's what six inch walls, and tiny little windows will get you.

The texture should be on before the end of the week. A heater will be running all night again tonight.

The floor coating has been scheduled for 1-28! No more ugly floor. It's going to look great! Medium gray floor (no speckles) and a blue stem wall. The colors of my baja bug that was destroyed in the fire. I picked up a rc rock crawler and made it into a tribute for the baja.

The texture is on, and the primer coat is 75% on. They will finish the primer tomorrow, and the final paint coat will be done on Tuesday. Then the finish electrical can get going.

The finish coat of paint is about 75% done. We are hoping to get the final electrical in by the end of the week.

Then it will be time to start re-collecting tools and such.

I have already started to do that! But only on an immediate need only. I have picked up a few on sale items that I couldn't pass up, though. The final inspection could happen as early as the end of this month, but it depends on the electrician. Once he finishes, the floor coating goes down, and the stove an interior chimney go in. Then it's done!

The finish electrical should go pretty quick. He should be able to have it done in just a few hours. (used to do that for residential construction...) Around here, the inspectors were great, they showed up right quick, did what they needed to do, then signed off, or not.... It wasn't unusual to call them for an inspection in the morning, and they would show up in the early afternoon. Loved that.

The electrical is 90% complete. He needs to finish the 240v outlets as he did not bring the correct ones. Inside paint is finished. The outside lights and rain gutters are up. Now we wait for the floor coating, which goes down on Tuesday and Wednesday next week. I will install the stove and chimney myself, and we are set for final inspection. It will get scheduled next Friday. So fricken' close I can taste it!!!
