The insurance is getting messy. Our mortgage holder is now involved. They want to take the settlement and dole it out in small chunks, while monitoring the progress of the rebuild. Funny thing is I built the shop with money from our savings, and they did not finance it. But it is on a property they do hold the lien for. Sticky situation. We will see how it plays out when the check arrives. AAA put the mortgage company on the check as a cosignee. So I can't do anything without giving it to the mortgage company. I HATE RED TAPE!

We are currently waiting on both the settlement review by our mortgage company, and the building permits. All of the requested documentation has been sent to the county and the mortgage company. Now we wait, The mortgage company says it takes 10 business days after receipt, and the county says 4 to 8 weeks for the building permits. We are going to run out of Fall at this rate! I was hoping to have shop 2.0 done by the end of the year, but it may not happen. I have a lot to do in the meantime, organizing and documenting my property claim. I am getting ready to give this old girl her last ride. Unfortunately it will be to the scrap yard.
