Has this repair kit worked for anyone with the '92 3.9l Dakota? I can't tell from the Amazon photos whether it is exactly the same. It's for a '97 Ram but it's the closest thing I've been able to find.
My truck has a strange no-start condition detailed in some posts I made last year which occurs predominately in the summer. I was struggling to start it after work a couple days ago when I decided to give it some starting fluid to rule out some no-start causes. When I pulled on the Throttle Valve Cable, the black plastic linkage broke. I could tell it was superglued together by the previous owner. (I am hoping if it was glued in a way that shortened or lengthened the cable that it is the cause of my issues, because I have not found the cause and neither has my mechanic or anybody else who has looked at the vehicle).
Anyway... I'm going to superglue it again and hope that I can get it started and bring it home. Anywhere to go from there? Never installed these before and it requires precision. Also can't find the part. May just keep it superglued, I don't know.
